It has been more than 60 years since the world’s very first hard drive was produced in 1956 weighing one and a half tones and holding 5 MB capacity. In the meanwhile, thanks to portable hard drives first and then minimized flash drives that we have possessed a technology which enables us to transfer gigabytes or even terabytes of data. However, in the digital world the need of data starage has dramatically increased that scientists have accelerated their work on a new field which they have shown as a future data storage solution. Saving the digital information to DNA has become one of the most interesting research subject of genetic scientists recently.
