Spectrum magazine announces that the American Air Force Research Laboratory has signed a 26.3 million dollar contract with Lockheed Martin for the installation of laser weapons in tactical combat aircraft in 2021. On airplanes, an improved version of the fiber laser that the American navy tests on the USS Ponce ship will be used.
