Professor Dr. Hacı Ali MANTAR received his BS degree from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University in 1993. He received his master's degree in 1998 and his PhD degree in 2003 from Syracuse University. In 2004, he joined the Department of Computer Engineering at Harran University as the founding chairman. After his transition to Computer Engineering Department of Gebze Technical University in 2006, he received his associate professor degree in 2010 and professorship in 2015. Between 2006 and 2014, he gave part-time lectures at the Naval Academy, Işık University and Doğuş University. Dr. Hacı Ali MANTAR has conducted research on Communication and Network Protocols, Wired and Wireless Communication Technologies, Computer Networks, Network Architectures, Information Systems, Software Defined Networks (SDN), Distributed Systems, Network Security and Forensic Computing. Dr. Hacı Ali MANTAR who advised more than 30 graduate and PhD students has carried out many national and international academic and industrial research projects. He was appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM (2006) and Member of the European Union Cyber Security Committee (2010). He was selected as a member of the Academy of Sciences of Turkey in 2013. He served in various committees in TÜBİTAK ARDEB and TEYDEB. He was appointed as TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Testing and Assessment Vice President in January 2015, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM President in June 2015 and the Chairman of HAVELSAN Board of Directors in May 2018.
