Undoubtedly, the phenomenon of power has always changed according to the development of societies and has gained new forms and qualities. The fact that power is a decisive element of politics throughout the history has brought it to the attention of researchers in many disciplines, especially in social sciences. Various studies have been done on the definition of power and changing nature, explanation, determination of properties and even measurement of the concept of power. Within the discipline of International Relations, the issue of power has always been a focal point. This study discusses how power is handled in the context of International Relations discipline.
