As in the rest of the world, the nuclear power plants are among topics which frequently occupy the agenda of our country as well. Today, nuclear power plants are questioned not only in terms of the accidents they lead to but they are also questioned about the management of nuclear waste that occurs during the using process.
There are several different storage and disposal methods according to the types of radioactive waste generated in the nuclear energy production process. Provided that these methods are properly applied, the impact of nuclear wastes on human health and nature will be reduced to minimum level.
